Sir, - I have noticed during the past few weeks that the birds are singing throughout the night - 2.30 a.m., 3.30 a.m., 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. I always understood that they were asleep at these times and wee at their most vocal when daylight was breaking, particularly in late spring and early summer. Is there some change taking place in their nocturnal habits? - Yours, etc.,
