Sir, - Mr Donal Stephen's letter (July 2nd) with a poem, The Donnybrook Road by Winifred M. Letts reminds me that we seldom hear about this writer who died in 1972.several of her poems, including A Sot Day, were set to music by Stanford and sung by Plunkett Greene.
Although many new children's books are published each year it seems a pity that the work of a writer of Winifred Letts' calibre has not been reprinted. Yours, etc., Ballybrack, Co Dublin.
