Sir, - I note that the newest suburb of Dublin is the town of Gorey (Property supplement, Nov 26th) from where commuters spend four hours daily on the road or on the train or both. On reading this piece of property market news I scanned the article for the magic phrase and sure enough there it was: "quality of life". Comment is superfluous - apart from the observation that The Irish Times seems to be getting carried away with the golden goose that is the weekly Property supplement.

Where will it all end? Carnsore point perhaps, or maybe the Hook - although as usual the northside is likely to provide better value. What about Crossmaglen for our next suburb? And why not? It is about the same distance from Dublin as Gorey. - Yours, etc., Conor O'Brien,
