Madam, – In these very difficult times, a word heard increasingly in the media is “entrepreneur”, which has its origins in the French language.

It would be wonderful if the media could sort out the correct pronunciation. There should be no emphasis on “trep” (as in intrepid). It’s best to think of it as two words “entre” (meaning “between”) and “preneur” (meaning “taker” derived from the verb prendre). – Yours, etc,
