Sir, - Many critical letters have appeared in The Irish Times regarding RTE's replacement of professional meteorologists with so-called "presenters". Personally, I have not noticed any appreciable decline in the quality of the forecasts.
I have, however, observed a definite improvement in the weather. - Yours, etc.,
