Madam, - I innocently thought that valet parking at Dublin airport would mean the convenience of driving to the terminal, giving your car to a valet who takes it away and has it available for you on your return. That, surely, is the worldwide meaning of valet-parking.
Not here! The Irish version is that you still have to drive to that wilderness of a distant car-park and there you give your car and keys to a valet, who will then park it for you, presumably in front of your eyes, leaving you to get the bus back to the terminal, as you always had to do.
It could only happen at Dublin Airport. How green is my valet. - Yours, etc,
BERNARD FARRELL, Redford Park, Greystones, Co Wicklow.
