Sir, - Niall Andrews is correct when he seeks a better understanding between Islam and the West (Christendom?). May I suggest that this would be a lot easier if the Islamic world was as generous in allowing churches to be established with the same ease as mosques are allowed in the West. Can it be true that there are no churches existing on the Arabian Peninsula? Can it be true that a few short years ago, when the West was at war fighting for the survival of the holy places of Islam, her chaplains could not bless her soldiers in public for fear of offending the feudal keepers of these same places?
