Madam, – After seeing the picture showing the latest trend of a bride trashing her wedding dress (Home News, August 23rd), I have a suggestion for any bride who feels she will be overwhelmed by a desire to destroy the dress she dreamed of since she was little.
First, have a replica dress made from the cheapest fabric available.This is the dress for trashing. (Maybe an online competition could begin for who has the cheapest “trashing” dress?). Second, the bride could donate her original, hugely expensive dress to an Oxfam charity shop where it could be sold and the money sent to aid disaster victims in other parts of the world.
