Sir, - While the spending of millions to alleviate traffic congestion in Dublin is a subject for ongoing discussion, the application of a few hundred pounds on temporary traffic lights at Kinnegad would be of obvious benefit.

Tailbacks of over 10 miles are common, particularly at weekends, in this midlands town at the T-junction where roads to the west and north-west converge. Promises of a bypass do nothing to solve this immediate problem. - Yours, etc.,
