Sir, - In a letter last week, one of your readers complains about a Pretty Polly advertisement showing a woman's legs, thereby supposedly reducing the woman in question to nothing but her legs.
I find myself wondering if your reader is aware that the purpose of tights is to cover women's legs. If so, how does she expect a tights manufacturer to advertise its product without a show of legs? - Yours, etc,
