Sir, - For some time a Traveller family camped at the junction of the old Galway and Trim Roads in Kilcock. They left a few weeks ago but, before leaving, they tidied the site, putting all their litter in a steel box, with two bikes laid next to it.
The litter is still there, but the inaction of Kildare County Council does not surprise me, as close by there is a large sign directing Dublin traffic towards Kilcock and Maynooth instead of to the M4 which is just up the road.
Surely a local authority should respond when Travellers do the right thing. - Yours, etc.,
