A chara, - Why is it always Sinn Fein which must think again? (Irish Times, October 12th). Is it because Sinn Fein's proven strength at the polls and clear political strategy are seen as a threat to the political establishment in the 26 Counties?
Is it not time for The Irish Times to call on the British Government to think again about its commitment to justice and democracy in Ireland? Is it not time that John Bruton and the Coalition Government were asked to think again about their commitment to a just and democratic settlement that will clearly convince those who believe in military force that it is now unnecessary?
Surely the leader writer of The Irish Times should also think again about that paper's political bias, and its constant refusal to engage in honest political analysis. - Yours, etc.,
