The toilet of Ireland?

Madam, – I was in Glenmalure, Co Wicklow last week with two boys aged five and seven and my 87-year-old mother. What is going on in this most lovely part of the county? About 300 yards before the charming An Óige Hostel, at the head of the glen, at what used to be lovely natural picnic spots, by the river, we are now faced with broken bottles, barbecue litter, beer cans, condoms and endless remnants of camp fires, plus evidence of toilet usage, which is creating a health hazard. I used to go to this lovely glen years ago, but it is being destroyed by litter, carnage and pure filth of human debris.

If we want to attract walking tourists and family-orientated holiday-makers we need to exercise zero tolerance of this kind of behaviour. – Yours, etc,
