Sir, - Ireland should follow the example of the Kilkenny footballers (who are not competing in the National Football League) and not bother playing International sides any more.

Their performance against Argentina was a disgrace. Do they not know that modern rugby is about scoring tries and entertaining the supporters? Ireland did not move the ball once through their back line on Wednesday night.

As an Irishman living in New Zealand for the past 10 years I have seen some great Rugby played at all levels and as an Irish supporter I don't want to have to witness any more games involving Ireland like that on Wednesday night. - Yours, etc.,
