Sir, - In the contest of another female president's visit to a Pope, Rory O'Hanlon's analogy (February 25th) of the frog holding its breath in order to make itself bigger and more important than any other frog is apt. Unfortunately, it is also misdirected. If a woman can acceptably visit the house of God without her head covered, and in less than sombre clothes, why are the entrance standards significantly higher in the house of a mere Pope? - Yours, etc.
