Sir, - In the 1970s and 1980s British TV weather forecasters used to announce "rain coming in from Ireland", until Bord Fβilte had a word in the right quarters. Now I hear our home-grown variety from Donnybrook saying, "Rain coming in from the north-west". Perhaps the tourism interests in Leitrim, Sligo and Donegal will now have a word with RT╔. - Yours, etc.,
