Sir, - Having watched the repeat showing of David Hanly's 1986 interview with the late Sir Sidney Nolan on RTE, I was left wondering what has become of the 50 paintings so generously donated by the artist to the State. I am not aware that they are on permanent exhibition either in Dublin or Clare, nor do I believe that any were included in the IMMA's exhibition, "A Collection in the Making".
Is it expecting too much that after a period of 12 years we should be allowed to see them? - Yours, etc., Derek R. D. Bell,
Killin, Dundalk.
