Madam, - It would seem to rational minds that John McCain has shot himself in the foot with his choice of a running mate. Apart from an ultra-conservative stance on some issues, Sarah Palin has very little political experience and no stance on foreign policy. In addition, she is the mother of an infant with Downs syndrome and her teenage daughter is expecting a child, so she faces enormous parental responsibilities.
One would imagine that such considerations would make the McCain-Palin ticket unlikely to win in November - but who would have thought the American electorate would put George W. Bush in the White House, not only once, but twice? - Yours, etc,.
