Sir, – Reading John McManus’s article on the vagaries of legal advice (Business+Innovation, April 2nd) reminded me of the time during my solicitor’s apprenticeship when I listened rather bemused while another solicitor kindly explained to me the difference between tax avoidance and tax evasion.
