Sir, - I refer to a letter from a recent American first time visitor to Ireland, which appeared in your columns on September 12th. Mr James G. Sweeney stated that he found the Irish people were not what he expected. Irish hotels and restaurants gave him the feeling that he was "just another tourist" and treated him as such.
As Mr Sweeney clearly feels that the real Ireland does not live up to its marketed image, perhaps he should apply for an American solution to his problem - sue for false representation. I'm sure that in New York he will have no problem in finding a suitable lawyer to take up his case. Just pick up a telephone and dial 1800-SUE-EIRE! - Yours, etc.,
