Sir, – Patrick Semple’s article on being Irish chimes with my sentiments exactly (Opinion, July 17th). Looking beyond tolerance and embracing and respecting differences all over the world are the signs of civilised man. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights is the background music for Semple.
