Sir, - On Saturday, January 31st, you published an article under the headline "Hidden Ireland's tax-dodgers rarely poor, says Ahern". Unfortunately, this headline is misleading. Obviously the Taoiseach was using the title of the well-known work by Daniel Corkery to make his point. He was not referring to the members of The Hidden Ireland, a renowned and long-established association of private country houses whose owners offer accommodation and dinner to guests. We have a loyal following, both from Ireland and overseas, among whom are many regular Irish Times readers. Do you think you could help set the record straight?
Next week we celebrate the publication of our 11th annual brochure, along with a new venture, The Hidden Ireland Guide to Holiday Rentals, which features a number of individual houses in interesting locations throughout the island of Ireland. Both publications can be obtained from our administrator at 01-662 7166.- Yours, etc.,
