Sir, Y, under the title "What Are We Eating?" (April 16th), states "Even non-agricultural people were shocked that ground up sheep and cow bones were being fed to animals which are naturally herbivorous." Well, I hope that you're not reading this over a traditional Irish breakfast of sausage rasher and black and white pudding. because Do I Have News For You human beings are also, by design, vegetarian!
Hard to stomach? Consider the following
(1) If man is supposed to eat meat, how come he is the only "carnivore" who is unable to catch and kill his prey by jumping on its back and sinking claws and fangs into it?
(2) Why, as a "carnivore", does man find uncooked meat unpalatable?
(3) Generally speaking, herbivores have long intestines to obtain maximum nourishment from their food conversely, because the detriment of toxins in meat far outweighs the value of its nourishment. carnivores tend to have short ones. For what reason. then, do humans "carnivores" have a gut of Lip to 30 feet in length? Enjoy your meal. Yours, etc.,
