I would respectfully point out that, as every Irish schoolboy and schoolgirl knows, the Battle of the Boyne was fought on July 1st.
The battle was not ultimately conclusive and it was, in fact, at Aughrim on July 12th, 1691, where William's victory took place. - Yours, etc.,
