Madam, – The Labour Court has said that Dublin Bus could go ahead with plans to take 120 buses from its fleet. In settlement terms, the court proposed that there should be no dilution of shift pay to drivers and that weekend overtime earning potential be increased. If there is agreement between management and unions, the losers will be those who have no alternative to using the bus: the old, the young, the marginalised, those who can’t drive and those who can’t afford a car. – Yours, etc,
