Madam, – As an occasional swimmer at the excellent Forty Foot swimming location at Sandycove, Co Dublin. I was alarmed at the front page photograph (August 8th) showing a young man diving into the water. Readers who might be tempted to do likewise should be aware that there are hidden rocks just below the surface of the water and that there are prominent notices there to this effect. The young diver in the photograph obviously suffered no injury because it was at high tide at the time. Others, in the past, have not been so lucky. – Yours, etc,
