Sir, In response to the letter by Mr Pol O Croidheain (October 7th) regarding the restoration work on St Canice's and other Protestant churches by FAS Mr O Croidheain should be reminded of the fact that Protestants, like their Roman Catholic counterparts, pay their fair share of taxes and are therefore entitled to a fair share of State subvention.
Regarding the removing of (in his words) the military overlay from St Canice's, whether Mr O Croidheain likes it or not, this is a legacy of our Protestant heritage and culture and should be respected as such. Yours, etc., MSc, Clontarf Road, Clontarf, Dublin 3.
