Sir, - The travel experiment by three Irish Times reporters on the first day of operation of the Stillorgan QBC left out an obvious mode of transport - the motorbike! My trusty Yamaha 100 Twin will go from Foxrock Church to Grafton Street in 15 or 20 minutes regardless of traffic, bus lanes, schools, or the time of day. There is never any problem parking, the road tax costs £25, and I get 70 miles to the gallon.
So should you repeat this travel experiment next month when the schools reopen, do include the motorbike. It might even tempt some commuters out of their cars, to everyone's benefit. - Yours, etc., Greg Carley,
Killiney Hill Road, Killiney, Co Dublin.
