Sir, - The Centre for Independent Living (CIL) is a non-government organisation which aims to promote independence and equality for disabled people in Ireland and internationally. CIL's legal project is currently researching the provision of services to disabled people in Ireland. The introduction of the Equal Status Act 2000, which prohibits discrimination in the provision of services, provides an ideal opportunity to assess the effect of the legislation to date.
To this end, we would like to hear from disabled people about the provision of services, particularly regarding to social welfare, travel and health. - Yours, etc.,
Aine Bhreathnach, Legal Officer, Centre for Independent Living, Carmichael House, North Brunswick Street, Dublin 7.
