Sir - The party of Scouts from Youghal reported in your paper as lost and rescued in the Comeragh Mountains do indeed seem to have been lost. Carrick on Suir is a very odd rendezvous for a walking party in the Comeraghs. It is some ten miles from their foothills.
Oddly enough, confusion seems also to have dogged their rescue. They are reported to have found the party "in a valley near Tory Mountain". There are some beautiful and some dangerous mountains and cliffs in the Comeraghs but there is no Tory Mountain. - Yours, etc.,
