Madam, – Had the savings of €200 million per year in HSE administration costs been put in place five years ago there would have been €1 billion to reinvest in services. This could have built a children’s hospital (with some cash to spare), provided free primary care to all under 18 and those on the long-term illness scheme, built primary care centres across the country or trained additional GPs. Slow progress has a high price. – Yours, etc,
