Sir, - My family and I are frequent travellers from Stansted to Knock. The flights, for at least the last six years, are always full. There is therefore a need and a demand for them.
The £6 tax is regrettable but, if Ryanair were to tax their customers, I am sure all of them would pay it. The existence of Knock Airport is important. Please do not let Ryanair's posturing interfere with its continued existence.
Let us hope Ryanair's stance is a negotiating ploy. If it is not, passengers should be asked whether they would be willing to pay £6, if the alternative is no service at all. - Yours, etc.,
R.G. Ware, Coleshill Amersham, Buckinghamshire.
