Sir, - I refer to your front-page report of August 28th, "Ireland's first Russian Orthodox church set for Harold's Cross". This ends with a list of dignitaries who will attend a divine liturgy at Arbour Hill on September 15th, including "the Serbian chargΘ d'affaires". As I have reason to believe this refers to myself, I take the opportunity to clarify the matter.

1. I have been invited to attend as the head of the Serbian Information Bureau and Serbian spokesman on Ireland.

2. I am not the official representative of the Yugoslav or Serbian governments, and I do not have any diplomatic status.

3. There is no such title as "the Serbian chargΘ d'affaires".

The only official representation is the Yugoslav embassy in London, which is also accredited to the Republic of Ireland, and which has not been approached about this event.

I trust you will take the opportunity to print this clarification. - Yours, etc.,
