Sir, - One of your correspondents wrote some time ago on complaining about the ramps on the Mount Merrion estate. I think these ramps are a Godsend to the residents of this estate, as the speeding on these roads is horrific. When one considers the unnecessary death of a young garda who was answering a hoax call on this estate, these calming devices are an absolute necessity. - Yours, etc.,
