Sir, – If citizens are satisfied that nurses should save 80 per cent of patients’ lives, deliver 80 per cent of babies and administer 80 per cent of prescribed medication then by all means let us pay them 80 per cent of their salaries (Home News, December 12th). If not, let them be paid as they deserve.
