This is the real scandal and the real inequality of this Budget, the latest in a long series of such Budgets. The gap gets ever wider and we remain calm.
Meanwhile outrage ensues because of a very clumsy attempt to acknowledge that there are expenses involved in going out to work. Women feel targeted, many are up in arms, polarisation ensues. Once more we chase the red herring while the real outrage goes unremarked.
