Sir, - In response to the recent survey recently by the Policy Research Centre in the National College of Ireland, which found that one third of people were concerned about the accountability of charities, and that levels of public donations had fallen, the Network of Rape Crisis Centres of Ireland would like to assure all your readers of the following:
All members' centres have charity status, all produce annual audited accounts which are available to the public on request and every penny collected goes into the provision of services for survivors of sexual violence. In keeping with the criteria of the Network of Rape Crisis Centres, all member centres operate to the highest standards of financial accountability. - Yours, etc.,
Fiona Neary, National Coordinator, NNRCC, St Augustine Street, Galway.
