Madam, - In my letter of February 22nd referring to the 1975 Jewish Memorial Service held in honour of Eamon de Valera, I mistakenly referred in the closing line to the then Chief Rabbi, Very Rev Dr Isaac Cohen, as "the late Chief Rabbi". A Jewish friend has kindly informed me that Rabbi Cohen is very much alive.
For this error I apologise to Rabbi Cohen, with the traditional Yiddish good wishes of bis hundert un tsvantsik (may he live to 120)! - Yours, etc.,
