Madam, - Fr James Good (March 28th), in his account of John Butler, Bishop of Cork, who converted to Anglicanism, says "there have been others". One notable example even earlier was Rev Andrew Sall SJ, rector of the Irish College at Salamanca, 1652-1655, and later provincial of the Jesuits in Ireland. He became a Protestant in 1674, received a D.D. from Trinity College, and in 1676 became Chancellor of Cashel. - Yours, etc,
MONICA HENCHY, Eglinton Park, Dublin 4.
