Sir, - Methinks Kevin Myers doth protest too much (September 19th). He suggests that Dail Eireann should "clip the Phoenix's wings". I would remind Mr Myers that the phoenix rose from its own ashes, just as the Presidency of Ireland did, under President Mary Robinson. - Yours, etc.,
