Sir, - As a fomer Sandymount person, I am sad to see the old Presbyterian Church is to be demolished. But on the other hand the plan shows what good spirit the Presbyterian Church has towards its patrons. Building social housing - it puts the Catholic Church to shame. The Government was able to purchase Farmleigh for millions but could not purchase many of the acres of Catholic Church land for social housing. The Presbyterian Church is providing a great need where the Governemnt has let down the people in need of housing. - Yours, etc.
