Madam, - Rev David Frazer (March 24th) claims that the Church of Ireland (to whose priesthood he belongs) "still acts as though it was the established church". He instances as an example of this the prayers for the monarch used at services in Northern Ireland.

If Mr Frazer takes the trouble to examine his church's prayer book, he will find that in the Republic prayers for the President are obligatory. - Yours, etc,
