Sir, - Between Christmas and New Year last year, we stayed with some friends in London. To our horror our Christmas card, posted in Dublin on December 18th arrived on the 29th, while we were there. On that same day they also received cards from South Africa, postmarked 19th, Australia, postmarked 21st and Hong Kong, postmarked 23rd.
I have just received "Latest Dates for Posting" from An Post, which recommends December 15th for Air Mail post to Britain, December 3rd for South Africa, December 10th for Australia and Hong Kong.
Where does our post go to for the week or so that the others' post doesn't? - Yours, etc.
