Sir, - As Mrs Mary Stewart (April 15th) says, Mrs Robinson, in visiting the Pope was representing all the people - that is, Roman Catholics and non-Roman Catholics alike. If she had dressed as Vatican protocol dictates, to show reverence to the Pope, she would have been representing only Roman Catholics. If Queen Elizabeth did this, she was wrong.
