Sir, - I was very pleased to hear that John Montague has received the honour and the office of Chair of Poetry for all Ireland. It was not before time. I am reminded of the words of John Hewitt shortly after the Freedom of the City of Belfast was bestowed on him, "If you live long enough, they recognize you".
While I'm at it, when is Padraic Fiacc going to be given some kind of honour for all his efforts in the eye of the storm? - Yours, etc, Brendan Hamill,
Belfast, Co Antrim.
