All they have to do is to input the name of the place they are travelling to and from, and the journey planner provides them with the detail of what services to take at what time in order for them to reach their destination.
In addition, customers using www.buseireann.ie or www.whensmybus.ie can find out exactly when buses and coaches will arrive at stops across the country in real-time thanks to our GPS tracking system, which is one of the first of its kind in Europe.
As well as introducing these innovations, Bus Éireann was among the first coach companies in Europe to bring in e-ticketing and was at the forefront of Irish companies selling goods through Twitter. All these developments have helped us nearly double the number of individual users of our website in the past year to approximately 500,000 per month. – Yours, etc,
