Sir, - I have known the Community at Pilgrim House for many years and have always been deeply impressed by their amazingly courageous commitment to Gospel values. Their dedicated care for the mentally and physically handicapped members of their community is deeply inspiring.
I was angry and sad to hear of their ordeal at the hands of hysterical Israeli immigration officials. I found the silly reporting of their plight most annoying. The impression was given that these good people had some "shadowy agenda" once in Israel.
I feel privileged to know these Christian people and am most upset at the trauma they must have suffered. I wish them a speedy recovery from their ordeal and a happy outcome to their pilgrimage. - Yours, etc.,
