PAYMENTS TO POLITICIANS

Sir, - I do wonder how anyone can receive money without giving anything in return? I do wonder how political parties can claim to be free from bias when they receive money directly from private sources?

I do wonder how the culture of backhanders, nods, winks and backslaps can exist in a modern state? I do wonder why middle and low income workers always appear to be the losers, whilst the wealthy, the politically well connected and people in places of privilege appear to be the winners?

I do wonder if I am alone? - Yours, etc.,
