Sir, – Like many people of my generation, ie, older, I have grave difficulty coming to terms with the following: the payout of my money to the so-called entrepreneurs who lost their money by gambling on loss-making adventures.
So, when I enjoy a modest gamble on a horse with my local friendly turf accountant, the horse is beaten and I lose my meagre bet through gambling, will you please advise me which Government department I should approach so that my losing gamble will be paid by the taxpayer who is already paying for all the other gambles in our wonderful little country? – Yours, etc,
