Sir, - My dictionary defines an "orphan" as a "child bereaved of one or both parents", a state which, given current medical technology, I had thought was quite permanent until I saw the headline "Former orphans may now take civil action" (December 20th). Could I ask the sub editor responsible for this headline to please share with bereaved readers of your paper the secret of bringing their parent(s) back to life? - Yours, etc,
